I had the privilege of completing this Bible study before it was published. I have to say, it was probably the best Bible study I’ve done. I knew a little about Israel before, but A People Chosen opened my eyes to what the Bible says about Israel! It was insightful, grounded in God’s Word, and important for what is happening in the Middle East today. Loved it!! So much I have decided to have a Woman's Bible Study in my home with this book! I've been to many Bible Study's in my life in the past 10 years but I learned more in this Book and also a more understanding of the Bible than I have in all my 20 plus study's! I can't recommend it enough, it has changed my life!
I have the true pleasure to know Karen personally. It was amazing as she dove in to her research, via travels to Israel, and her writing and editing in such detail to make sure this Study was point on accurate. In reading the Study, it is compelling and shares so much of Gods plan for Israel and the Church. Her writing style and her questions asked and answered for us and with us throughout the Study had me learning something new and understanding something new with every page. Amazing learnings!
We hosted a study with this book and are in Lesson 7 and it has been an absolutely amazing experience. We are thankful for Karen's careful research and eye opening combination of scripture that speaks of the people of God. The conversations and enlightenment that have occurred over the last several weeks has been wondrous and beautiful. Israel, a light to the nations..."Listen to me, my people; hear me, my nation Instruction will go out from me; my justice will become a light to the nations" Isaiah 514 God has a covenant and he keeps his promises.
We have been blessed and would highly recommend this book/study to all!
This is a beautiful love story between God and his people...it reads like a book and yet it is a study; it causes you to dig deep into scripture and deep into your heart to discover some beautiful things about God and his mission to bring us closer to him. THANK YOU to this author, a very good read no matter where you are in your spiritual walk. Be prepared to be changed...forever!
A People Chosen is an engaging and enlightening study. Can a bible study be discribed as a page turner? This was...I couldn't put it down and hunger to learn more about God's plan for Israel and the nations. I highly recommend this amazing work by Karen Engel. She is a truly blessed teacher.
I joined a bible study group knowing they would be going through this study. The group originally started with about 9 people (I think?). By the time I joined, there were probably 12 of us. In about five weeks, our group had grown to over 20, it's THAT good!!
Mind blowing, eye opening, wheels turning, thoughts turned upside down (or right side up), provocative, insightful, delightful, bringing me back to the Word of God. #truth
The study is easy to follow, smooth in transitions. It will cause you to open your bible A LOT, and really absorb God's living word. You can go through the study on your own, or with friends in fellowship. This is not a self-help bible study. But instead, it is a "what does God say about Israel, the Jewish people, Jerusalem, and how does it relate to us as Christians", kind of study. Be prepared to dive in to prophecy, what has already happened, and what is yet to come. When I am finished, I will probably begin the study again!
This study is absolutely AMAZING! I've done several Bible studies over the years, but never one that so eloquently and accurately taught me God's plan and purpose for the nation of Israel. I have been enlightened and have such a greater appreciation for not only God's chosen people, but His promises and plan for His creation. Prepare to be engaged and grow in your knowledge and faith!
