I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this story. It is fast paced and so entertaining that I found myself wishing that the 2nd book in the series was already available so I could stay in Adam's world and see what was in store for him and his new friend, Isaac. The author did a good job holding my interest and made it easy to picture what Adam was seeing and feeling throughout the book without being overly descriptive. This is a fun read for both young and adult readers alike and I highly recommend this to anyone looking for an enjoyable way to spend some time in another cosmos.Product details

Adam Born of Stars Voyage 1 Lost at Galaxy End eBook Chris Lamphear Reviews
not enough how Adam was born,or his thinking before his voyage.but it was a short but a good read if l was 10 years old
This story was a fast and enjoyable read. I sort of picture it as if Doogie Houser took place in a Star Trek episode instead of a hospital. I look forward to reading the next episode of Adam's space odyssey.
Sci-fi is not my usual genre. I expected to read part of this and quit, or skim through to the end. But I couldn't. I was snagged by the mix of space jargon, an interesting premise, likable protagonist, and plot surprises meted out along the way. So, much to my surprise, I look forward to the next instalment of "Adam Born of Stars"!
I hope they will add to this series
First, the positive
I like the introduction structure of the story and how it works with the character of Adam Archer. There's a lot to the character he's the first bio-engineered human - a genius with special powers, who invents a new form of space travel. Of course, testing that new method doesn't go as planned and that's when the action really picks up.
Definitely a story I would easily recommended to science fiction fans. It's an especially good story for young adults.
Now, the negative
It's just a start and the story needs to continue. There's a ton of ideas here that I can't wait to see the writer expand in later stories. For the price, it's a bargain of a read.
I thought this was a pretty interesting and exciting story. Adam Archer designs his own ship, and invents a new form of space travel. He tests it out, but it goes wrong and strands him in space. The story introduces his robot dog Isaac who keeps things funny and some lizard warriors who capture Adam.
The book is listed under Science Fiction and Fantasy series, but it's pretty clearly Young Adult.
It ends on a cliff-hanger, and I wish it was longer. Understandable since it's clear this is the first of many stories to come, so for 99 cents it's a fair price for an introduction to a much larger story. I'd recommend it to anyone else who likes reading series about kids with special powers and on impossible missions, such as the Harry Potter books.
I found this to be an engaging read from the very beginning. The author does a good job of describing each scene without dwelling at length on the minutae. The main character is likable, and while incredibly capable, vulnerable at the same time. The story held my interest and moved at a nice pace. It's a quick read, and for any sci-fi reader, a dollar well spent. I especially liked the homage to Isaac Asimov, one of my favorites. I'm looking forward to the next installment to find out what happens to Adam.
