Great book for those new at dog ownership. Very clear and concise on the Labrador breed. I would recommend this to any dog lover.
A good brief primer on Lab ownership. Only 65 pages long and is a good read for any prospective lab owner.
If you are getting your first Lab this may be helpful unfortunately I've had some and this contains only the very basics.
I bought this thinking it would be more breed specific, failed to see it’s the condensed version. What a bummer. Still has good info.
This is the second copy of this book I've purchased, I like it that much! The first one we gave to a friend who got a lab puppy, and since our lab was fully grown and trained, we didn't think we'd need it again. Silly me. We are getting a new pup, and we definitely needed the refresher. This book gives great advice on puppies, training, feeding, and life with the high energy lab. I highly recommend it.
This is a great book for folks that have NO experience with Labs, that describes me to a T. It has helped me understand this breed a bit better and helped me to enjoy my Lab instead of getting frustrated.
We rescued a lab a few months ago and i have never been owned by one so I had a lot to learn. This book taught me some very good tricks in dealing with a water dog like her. And she does love it! I'm always turning around to see her in her outdoor bathtub or runing through the faucet, and last time she was laying down in the birdbath! Holy moly! I did find that labs have a coat that repels water to a certain extent so I'm lucky that my house isn't a mess, she dries in no time. They also love their grub, more so than any other dog I've had, and I have to watch her diet very close. Yes, I have learned a lot and recommend this book to anyone with a lab to love.
